Research has followed 48,000 men in the Health Professional follow up study from 1986 to 2006. Those that drank NO coffee had about a 30% higher risk of developing lethal metastatic prostate cancer than those that drank 1 to 5 cups of coffee. Drinking 6 or more cups of coffee a day decreased the risk by 60%. This is only one study and there should be more but coffee lover will like this one. We have known for years there is a correlation of increased risk of Diabetes, Heart Disease and Colon cancer and now one study claims a 23% increase in the risk of STROKE. A ten year Swedish study followed 40,000 men aged 45 to 79. Those that reported eating 2 ounces or more a day had a 23% increase in the in the risk of stroke than those who ate less than 2 ounce a day.
